Iceland shares the top place with Finland and New-Zealand. Haiti is the most corrupted society in the world; Myanmar (former Burma) and Iraq follow close behind. About half of the nations on the list get a score below three on the scale from 1-10, which means obvious corruption. The organization state the there is a strong connection between poverty and corruption. Corruption is what keeps a large number of mankind trapped in poverty. The fight against poverty in the world has to aim at eradicating corruption. Poor societies in the world all score below five. Icelanders were also at the top last year. Then Finland and New-Zealand followed in 2nd and 3rd place, and Denmark was in 4th place which they keep this year.
