Magni Ásgeirsson, the lead singer of Á Móti Sól and the only Icelandic contestant of Rock Star Supernova, made it through the second round of eliminations last night.

Performing the song My Generation by The Who, one of the judges - James Newsted of Metallica - told him, "Your experience with  being on the stage in Iceland is definitely showing tonight. Good job."

There's still a long road ahead, though, as over a dozen competitors remain.
