The Mountain challenges Hulk Hogan: "I will snap you like a carrot"

Icelandic strongman and Game of Thrones star Hafthor Bjornsson might be facing his greatest challenge to date. He's ready to enter the wrestling ring and test himself against possibly the greatest wrestler of all time, who also happens to be 61 years old. Are you ready Hulk Hogan?

Bjornsson, known for his performance as Gregor Clegane, "The Mountain", in the fourth season of Game of Thrones, broke a 1000 year old weightlitfing record a couple of weeks back. Bjornsson carried a 640 kg tree trunk (1433 lbs). Impressive? Most people thought so but not Hulk Hogan.

"I'll snap that log like a carrot. What's everyone so excited about. HH" he wrote on Facebook. The wrestler's comment didn't go unnoticed by Bjornsson who replied: "Hulk Hogan I'll snap you like a carrot in the ring!!!"

Bjornsson says in an interview with Visir that somebody pointed out to him that Hogan was having a laugh online so he decided to answer back. The Mountain says his challenge should be taken seriously.

"I'm very cool and ready to go. It would probably have to be at his game,  Wrestling and he'd probably have to pick the judges in order for him to take the challenge," Bjornsson explains. He says it will be interesting to see if Hogan is man enough to accept the challenge.

It should be noted that although Hogan obviously can talk the talk it's very uncertain he's ready to walk the walk. The American is in his sixties.

"He's a legend in the Wrestling world and has been at it for decades," Bjornsson adds. He wonders if he's possibly too old to take a challenge from The Mountain.

"Probably not though. He's taken on so many through the ages and kept his cool."

Among Bjornsson's plans is a computer festival in Qatar where Bjornsson will be posing with fans and signing autographs. In March there's Arnold Classic Festival in Ohio. The festival would be the perfect timing for Bjornsson and Hogan to wrestle since the American has also announced he'll be there.
