" People don't find that expensive. Reindeer meat is much more expensive than beef, a reindeer steak costs around five thousand kronas at a restaurant. Jóhanna has been in the burger business for decades, having worked for Tommaborgarar in Reykjavik and the Hard Rock Café. Reindeer live in the highlands of east Iceland, near Egilstadir. " We moved here two years ago from the capital," says Jóhanna. " It's been incredibly busy here this summer, because of the good weather we've been having."
