The sixtieth performance of IBM 1401 -a user's manual will take place in Drodesera, Italy on July 26. It is a dance piece choreographed by Erna Ómarsdóttir to the music of Jóhann Jóhannsson (also member of Apparat Organ Quartet). The critically acclaimed piece has now travelled to over 40 cities since it premiered in Marseille, France in 2002. Since then it has become one of the most talked about works in European dance.
A new composition by Erna and Jóhann titled "The Mysteries of Love" will also be shown in Drodesera, as well as a work Erna created with Damien Jalet. Jóhann Jóhannsson will be releasing a new record in October based on the music from IBM 1401, with British record company 4AD.
