Exhibition Delayed Due to Arctic Terns

Five artists planned on dislaying their work under the name Eiland at Grótta on the 1st of July, the beach area in Seltjarnes but they had to withdraw from that date because of the egg laying season of the artic tern (bird) which has been too aggressive for event organizers. The new date is the 15th of July "so we can give the birds some peace and quiet" said Friðik Örn Hjaltested. Works that will be shown include drawings of the sea by Ragnar Kjartansson, night photographs of lighthouses by Friðrik Örn and sculputures and video displays from the future by Ásdís Siv. -mld
