Royal Blue Comfort 31. maí 2006 17:24 Laugavegur 22A, 101 Reykjavík Tel. 511 4666 info@hotelfron.is www.hotelfron.is Summer sgl 9900 / dbl 12.900 One bedroom apt: 15.900 Hótel Frón is a popular place. Launched within the last decade as one building in the city centre, this cheerful, family-owned institution has mushroomed into three structures, the main one of which now borders on Laugavegur, the busy shopping and dining street. Something about the royal blue façade of the hotel is a little quirky - and it blends in well with the jewellery shops and cafés nearby. Inside, the surprisingly spacious rooms are of the standard beige and brown palate, but fresh and new and not tired in the way that such colours can so easily become. Wireless internet is available everywhere for a small fee and DVD players can be borrowed. Breakfast is not included in the room price, but a morning buffet is available in a bright and modern dining area in the back building. Hótel Frón also has several studios and one / two room apartments in the complex, targeted to families and those who want simple facilities for preparing their own meals. There's even free parking for hotel guests. No wonder it's so popular.
